🎭 Karnevalsko zagrijavanje u Umjetničkoj galeriji Bosne i Hercegovine je u završnoj fazi!

Posljednje radionice u sklopu izložbe „Istinska priča karnevala“ umjetnika Bandelea Iyapoa okupile su učenike osnovnih škola i odrasle učesnike, koji su zajedno istraživali svijet karnevala kroz kreativnost i zajedničko stvaranje.

Kroz izradu maski, razgovore o simbolici i likovima karnevala, galerijski prostor pretvorio se u mjesto mašte, igre i intergeneracijske razmjene. Nastali su novi, razigrani karnevalski likovi – šarene ptice, fantastična bića i maske inspirisane pričama o karnevalu, spremni da ožive na velikom karnevalskom događaju u muzeju.

Projekat “Celebrating Diversity” finansira British Council u okviru Culture Connects grant šeme, koja podržava umjetnice, umjetnike i umjetničke institucije iz Bosne i Hercegovine u uspostavljanju i razvoju kreativnih i umjetničkih partnerstava s kolegama iz Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva, uz podsticanje novih projekata i inovacija.

Radionice su razvijene u saradnji sa Sarah Butterworth iz Emerald Ant, umjetnicom koja vodi karnevalski projekat, čija je uloga bila da dizajnira sve maske i vodi proces njihove izrade.

A lovely evening for our final event at the Umjetnička galerija BiH, National Gallery of Bosnia. The workshops have gone beautifully thanks to Aida Šarac for organising all the groups. It's been a lot of fun and so glad it all turned out to be so colourful.

A few more recent makes from our carnival project in Sarajevo with the Umjetnička galerija BiH, the National Gallery of Art. Carnival takes place tomorrow, so lots of work to do today, and it's snowed overnight, so from 17 C it has gone to freezing, Eeeeek!

Emerald Ant is running workshops in Sarajevo at the Umjetnička galerija BiH this week, part of the photo exhibition of Bandele Iyapo, The True Story of Carnival. Funded by the British Council BiH, we're working with lots of different groups building up to a carnival next week, 'Celebrating Diversity'. Thanks to Aida Šarac for her hard work organising it 🌟

Next week we will be working with the National Gallery of Bosnia, UUmjetnička galerija BiH on the 'Celebrating Diversity' project, funded by the British Council. Sarah is venturing out to Sarajevo to deliver 11 colourful carnival workshops with different groups, supporting an exhibition of photos by the Trinidadian, artist Bandele Iyapo.

Just posted our new 'Toolkit for Museums' on our website, at https://emeraldant.com/iggy-for-all/ This is my final piece of work for 'Iggy for All', where we have worked with 14 museums.
The document is especially useful for small museums that have limited resources, it supports planning and delivering all kinds of workshops for schools and families, and contains an 'Ideas Factory' around typical collections, and a section working with SEND children. There is also a printer friendly version at the webpage. Let me know if you use it!

We've been making a big 'Message in a Bottle' lantern beer bottle for the Pop Up Weymouth Museum. Visitors will write down their hopes and wishes for the new museum and put them inside. Glad I didn't write 'Massage in a Bottle', that is the sort of error I normally make.
