On international women's we celebrate all those women who support Historylinks. From Trustees, committee members, volunteers and staff, women help take our Museum forward.
We also celebrate those women who have changed the world for other women throughout history and we are excited to be featuring one such person in our special 3 day exhibition "Fashion on the Fairways" for Dornoch Fibre Fest next weekend.
We are delighted to have items on loan from The World Golf Museum and The Women Golfer's Museum related to Mabel Stringer.
Mabel was a pioneer of Women's golf who set up a number of golfing organisations championing women. Come along and see her wonderful outfit and accoutrements.
Also with us will be Sarah Mawson from Catu Dornoch Living History. Sarah is a wealth of knowledge about life during the 10th century. She will have a display of jewellery and items associated with the period and will be dressed in period costume. Sarah will also be demonstrating some craft skills.
Historylinks is open Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March from 10.30am to 4pm.
