The Burns Tourism Partnership is seeking an exceptional Project Manager to drive forward an ambitious two-year programme designed to strengthen the Burns visitor economy in Dumfries.
Having refined our approach following an initial recruitment phase, we are re-opening applications with expanded delivery options to ensure we find the right person, capacity, and approach.

What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be a Robert Burns expert. What matters most is your ability to turn plans into action, keep multiple projects moving, build strong relationships, and deliver practical results on the ground.

The Scope: Drive visitor-experience development, manage digital assets, connect local businesses, engage the community, and facilitate the delivery of an exciting physical development "In the Footsteps of Burns".
Location: Place-based in Dumfries (with sensible hybrid working options upon agreement).
Flexibility: We welcome applications for full-time employment (£30,000 p.a.), part-time employment, or freelance/consultancy proposals.

The final resting place of Robert Burns and his wife Jean Armour. A beautiful Grecian style building set in an atmospheric churchyard.

Step inside Burns’ Mausoleum and hear it filled with his music sung by local choir The Dumfries Radicals and harper Wendy Stewart.

Drop in anytime between 2pm and 4pm and experience this poignant setting with its beautiful acoustics.

The venue is small so only a few people will be able to enter at a time.

One week to go! You're invited to join us on Sunday 6th September between 2 and 4 for Music in Burns' Mausoleum.
The inside of the last resting place of Scotland's bard shows Burns being struck by his muse while at the plough. Such a beautiful and inspiring place and experiencing music in it promises to be something special.
Robert Burns loved song and we plan to honour him and enjoy this special place as part of Doors Open Days Dumfries and Galloway
