For the last year and a half one of our volunteers, Katarzyna, has been working on our Polish collections.

She has translated 40 documents in our care and has hugely improved our understanding of the collection we hold relating to the Polish diaspora in Dundee.

Thank you very much to Katarzyna!

You can find out more about these items on our Collections Online: https://www.mcmanus.co.uk/collections and learn more about some of the objects we hold such as the one pictured. We believe this is the base of a czepiec - a cap, which made its way to Dundee in 1945.

BIG NEWS - Loom Deli is coming to the McManus Cafe! Get ready to tuck in to delicious signature sandwiches made with locally sourced ingredients, freshly prepared every day by the best sandwich shop in town! Join us this Wednesday 3rd June as we welcome Loom to the McManus.

The McManus Cafe will be closed Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd June while we get things ready. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but we're excited to welcome you back when it reopens on Wednesday.

Today marks the 10th Anniversary since the Essex Serpent was first released and we are very grateful to be displaying costumes worn by Claire Danes and Tom Hiddleston in our ‘Curtain Call: Costumes from Stage and Screen’ Exhibition at The McManus.
