I’m delighted to send you all news that my seasonal mixed art show based on ‘Old Land' will open with a private view on Thursday 15 October between 16:00 and 18:00. This exhibition will then be open to the public from Saturday 17 October to 12 December. The public opening times are every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:30 to 16:30.

I went to visit Ceri H. Pritchard in his studio ahead of the current solo exhibition called, ‘That Future Thing’. It was up there with one of the hottest days of the year, but we had a great time selecting works for the show and cooling off in the garden over lunch. Ceri has spent the passed few years converting a chapel into a studio and he has created the perfect artist’s space with a thriving garden that is also influential in his recent work.

Here are a few photographs that I took from the day to give you an insight.

Ceri’s solo exhibition continues through to 17 September, and the gallery is open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:30 to 16:30. This exhibition looks at the artist’s work from his time living in France, Mexico and his return to Wales. To get here google Oriel Ty Meirion and that will bring you to the doorstep.

Roedd hi ymhlith y dyddiau poethaf yn y flwyddyn, ond cawsom amser gwych yn dewis gweithiau ar gyfer y sioe ac yn cael awyr iach yn yr ardd dros ginio. Mae Ceri wedi treulio’r blynyddoedd diwethaf yn newid capel yn stiwdio ac mae wedi creu’r gofod artist perffaith gyda gardd lewyrchus sydd hefyd yn ddylanwadol yn ei waith diweddar.

Ceri Pritchard will be joining us in the gallery on Saturday 5 September from 11:00 to 15:00 as part of his solo exhibition here in the gallery based on ’That Future Thing’.

If you enjoy Surrealism, patterns and abstract form or are just a bit curious then I highly recommend a visit. This is a wonderfully thought-provoking exhibition and great for the imagination. Ceri grew up in the art world in Wales, and this is a documentation of the artist and the time in which he lives. These artworks are highly collectable, and the exhibition has been curated with a focus on the artist’s time living in France, Mexico and Wales that spans the past 22 years.

Pop in the gallery anytime for some informal discussions in a relaxed setting and see Ceri working on his latest painting. We can’t wait!
