We're delighted to be supporting the locally organised Hardingham fete with special stops at Hardingham on our timetable.

☀️🛤️Join us for a journey through the beautiful Norfolk countryside, and enjoy a fantastic day of family fun and entertainment at the village fete.

Meet the team Monday 🚂✨

This week we are introducing one of our lifelong volunteers, Joshua Quirk. He has been volunteering at Mid-Norfolk Railway for over 20 years! And has been a trustee for almost two years. 🛤️⭐

Here are a couple of Joshua's best/worst moments whilst being at Mid-Norfolk Railway🚂-

Best moment?
This has to be all of the memories growing up steered, supported & surrounded by the amazing role models I've had the pleasure to encounter and the professional railway people I've met over my younger years.

Worst moment?
A teenage 14 year old self being persuaded to dress up as a teddy bear 🧸 for the 'Teddy Bear's picnic on the train' event back in May 2008! I was too cool for that back then...

Happy Fathers Day!

We are running a revised timetable today with our Heritage Diesel locomotives between Dereham and Wymondham Abbey and as always with our normal services, Kids go Free!

Experience train travel as it was in our vintage ma
roon coaches as we travel on a 22 mile round trip by Heritage Diesel train

Why not visit the historic Wymondham Abbey, browse the and historic pubs in both Wymondham or Dereham, and pick up some lunch in our tea room before visiting the shop and museum.

⏰ Trains depart Dereham at 0940 (Pacer), 1030, 1310 & 1530
⏰ Trains depart Wymondham Abbey at 1025(Pacer), 1130, 1415 & 1630

🎫 Tickets cost just £22.50 with accompanied kids travelling Free

Travelling by car? Our station tea room at County School is also open, prefect for walks in the countryside!

🎵🎶We are excited to share that The Mid-Norfolk Railway will serve as a venue for the Dereham Blues Festival, featuring a fantastic line up of bands on Friday, July 3rd 2026.

🍻🍔To keep the festivities going, our licensed bar will be open throughout the event, offering a fantastic selection of drinks. We will also be running a delicious BBQ on the platform.

🚉 We are running our Green timetable during the day, providing round trips between Dereham and Wymondham.

Looking for something to do on a rainy Wednesday?

We are open today running our Green timetable, where our 1980s British Leyland Pacer unit will be running between Dereham and Wymondham Abbey. From Wymondham station, the magnificent Wymondham Abbey is just a five-minute walk away, along with shops, cafés, and local attractions.

Trains depart Dereham at 1030, 1215, 1405 & 1545

Trains depart Wymondham Abbey at 1130, 1300, 1448 and 1625

🚂All aboard for Hardingham Summer Fete - Sunday 28th June🚂

We're delighted to be supporting Hardingham fete by running special train services.

Our trains will be making additional stops at Hardingham, which from there, a free bus service will take you into the village to enjoy the attractions of the summer fete🎉🌞
