💛 PROUD TO BE PART OF RETFORD 💛

What a lovely feature from Discover Retford! Thank you so much for shining the spotlight on Limited 2 Art and telling a little of our story.
After 16 years in Bawtry, moving the gallery to Retford really did feel like the beginning of a new chapter — and now it very much feels like home. ❤️
We’ve met so many wonderful people since opening here, while still welcoming customers who have been with us for many, many years.
If this feature introduces just a few more people to our rather special gallery on Bridgegate, then that’s even better!
Thank you, Discover Retford, for supporting local independent businesses. 💛

📣 Behind every local business is a story worth telling!

✨ Today, we're putting the spotlight on Limited 2 Art, an independent, family-run gallery that has become a much loved part of Retford's creative scene:

"Founded in 2004 and owned by Ruth Stone, Limited2Art has built a strong reputation among collectors and art enthusiasts. Many customers who first visited the gallery during its years in Bawtry still travel to Retford today to visit, often bringing along friends and family and helping even more people discover both the gallery and the town.

For Ruth, settling in Retford has felt like more than just a relocation. It's a place where the gallery has truly put down roots and become a lasting home.

As well as showcasing an ever-changing range of artwork, Limited2Art regularly hosts exhibitions and popular Meet the Artist events. The gallery also continues to champion local talent through special exhibition opportunities."

Whether you're a seasoned art lover or simply curious to browse, if you're planning a visit to Retford, be sure to stop by Limited 2 Art!

❤️ FAST BECOMING A GALLERY FAVOURITE! ❤️

Just look at this fabulous collection of work by David Renshaw Artist now on display at Limited 2 Art.
His instantly recognisable paintings combine wonderful landscapes, quirky little characters and, of course, those unmistakable red love hearts. ❤️

We’ve been adding more and more David Renshaw pieces to the gallery recently, and judging by the reaction from our customers, he is fast becoming a firm favourite here at Limited 2 Art!

From romantic adventures beneath the Northern Lights to seaside escapes, camper vans and those magical little moments shared by two people, there’s something wonderfully uplifting about his work.

And yes… I may have accidentally created an entire David Renshaw wall! 😂❤️

Pop in and see the collection in person — I think these look even better together!

🎂 HELP ME GIVE KEN A JOB TITLE! 🎂

As many of you know, my father-in-law Ken turns the grand old age of 90 on Thursday 5th November ❤️

And what better way to celebrate your 90th birthday than being made to come to work at Limited 2 Art?! 😂

Ken has become such a familiar face around the gallery — helping with the dusting, titivating, rehanging artwork and, of course, spending a considerable amount of time carefully inspecting the art! 👀🖼️

So for his 90th birthday, I’m surprising him with his very own Limited 2 Art uniform — and this is where I need your help...

WHAT SHOULD KEN’S OFFICIAL JOB TITLE BE? 🤔😂

It will be printed underneath the Limited 2 Art logo on his sweatshirt, so I need something worthy of the occasion!
Senior Art Consultant?
Chief Art Inspector?
Head of Titivating?
Gallery Legend?
Director of Titivating?
Or can you come up with something even better? 😂

👇 COMMENT YOUR SUGGESTIONS BELOW!

I’ll choose my favourite, get his uniform made and present it to him on his 90th birthday on 5th November. 🎁

And yes... I am making him come into the gallery on his birthday! 😂

So watch this space — on the big day I’ll be asking you all to help us celebrate by leaving birthday messages for Ken on our page. I think he’ll be absolutely chuffed to read them. ❤️

Just don’t tell him what I’m up to... 🤫🎂🖼️

🤣🐼 PANDA-MONIUM AT LIMITED 2 ART! 🐼🤣

Well, you never quite know what you'll find going on at Limited 2 Art… especially when Ken and I get together! 😂

Today we've gone completely PANDA CRAZY! 🐼🐼
But there's a very good reason for our little performance…

🚨 THE Edge Sculpture PANDA BUST HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY RETIRED! 🚨

We've managed to secure a final batch of these fabulous sculptures, and they've now arrived at the gallery!

But here's the important bit…
🐼 NO MORE WILL BE PRODUCED!
🐼 ONCE OUR REMAINING STOCK HAS SOLD, THAT'S IT — GONE FOREVER!

So, if you've had your eye on this magnificent Panda Bust, now really is the time to make your move!

And as for Ken… nearly 90 years young and still happily joining in with my daft ideas! What a star! ❤️😂

Who do you think makes the better panda — Ken or me? 🤣🐼

🎨🏡 THE PERFECT PIECE FOR THE PERFECT SPOT! ❤️

Who says Sundays are a day of rest? Not at Limited 2 Art! 😁

Although the gallery is closed on Sundays, today we were out and about on a Home Approval visit, helping a lovely customer find that special piece of art for their home.

And this one has a lovely story behind it! ❤️

Our customer had a very particular request. She wanted a circular piece of artwork to fit a specific space in her home.

She had originally approached another gallery, but unfortunately they couldn't find anything suitable.
Then she came to Limited 2 Art! 🎨

We had a few circular artworks in the gallery, but nothing that was quite what she was looking for.
So, what did we do?

📞 We got on the phone to several of our publishers, explained exactly what we were looking for and arranged for a selection of circular artworks to be shipped to the gallery.

Today, we arrived at our customer's home with three beautiful pieces for her to choose from.
And then came the magic! ✨

❤️ The perfect piece for the perfect spot!
This stunning original abstract by Brenda Herd was the one!

Just look at those incredible colours, textures and movement. And being circular makes it even more of a statement piece!
It's moments like these that remind us why we love what we do.

Sometimes finding the right artwork takes a little extra effort, a few phone calls and a bit of determination — but seeing everything come together makes it all worthwhile.

🏡 And did you know? Our Home Approval service is completely FREE!

We can bring a selection of artworks to your home so you can see how they look in your own surroundings before making that all-important decision.

After all, buying art isn't just about finding something you love — it's about finding something you love in exactly the right place! ❤️

At Limited 2 Art, we don't just sell art. We go the extra mile to help you find it! 🥰

Our very own Ken (my father-in-law and almost 90 years young!) certainly knows a beautiful piece of art when he sees one!

🎨 KEN’S SEAL OF APPROVAL! 🎨

My father-in-law Ken has been helping out at Limited 2 Art today — rehanging new artwork, titivating the displays and generally making sure everything is looking just right! 😄

Here he is taking a moment to admire the fabulous The Ark II by Gary Walton, newly arrived in the gallery.

And would you believe Ken will be 90 in just a few weeks’ time?! ❤️ Not bad going at all — there’s certainly no keeping him away from the artwork!

I think The Ark II has his approval… and I can see why. What a fantastic piece! 🖼️✨
