‘Feels Like Home’ has found its place at it’s an incredibly vulnerable moment when someone else sees what you have created. It exposes your thoughts and feelings and passions. Often, I’m not ready to share, but if you’re wanting to make a dream come into reality, then taking the risk is essential. I’m so grateful and excited for this opportunity, even though it feels tender and risky.

‘Colours Changing’

It has been delightful to witness the changing colours that characterise this season. It never gets old, and encourages me to not be so reluctant in letting go of the summer warmth. I will grieve when the leaves fall, and we are left with bare spindles again. Until then, I’m soaking in the bursts of colours spraying through the rich greens!

Back to my favourite views. I received some advice recently from a much more experienced artist that I’ve been thinking over. 1. Don’t rush the process. Take your time over each piece. It’s art. Not a production line. I could see from his work, that he rested and was still in each layer; not rushing the process.
So I’ve left this one out. And worked on it slowly, layer by layer. Coming back after a day, and seeing where the inspiration took me. I can say, that I really love this one. And all it took was being still, waiting, revisiting, dreaming, imagining what it could be, then adding those final details. Dreamy.

Canford Bottom.

I drive by this roundabout on my commute, and it’s always full of soft and fresh colour. One the way home, I noticed the council had cut it all down. It may seem a strange place to find beauty, and even more strange to find it sad when it’s gone. But the colour combinations captivated me every morning. I’m not sure I caught what captured me each morning, definitely a struggle to mix the colours, but here we go!
