Edinburgh Arts Edinburgh Arts (Est. 1980) is a well known local business, specialising in picture framing, giclee printing and publishing of fine art prints and cards.

They have two galleries in the Edinburgh area and also supply to wholesale. We are a family-run Fine Art Publishers and Picture Framers based in Edinburgh, Scotland. We firmly believe that our range of Open and Limited Edition prints provides the best cross-section of contemporary Scottish Art by some of the UK's leading artists. We work closely with our artists and our customers to ensure first r

***BRANCH CLOSURE - MONDAY 2ND FEBRUARY 2026***
Please be aware that our Bangor Road branch will be closed for the day on Monday 2nd February 2026 as we pay our final respects to our founder, father, colleague and friend, Ken Smith.
Our branch at 1-3 Nicolson Street will remain open and operating on its normal opening hours, 9:30am to 5:30pm, during this time.

Funeral arrangements, for those that knew Ken and wish to pay their respects, are as follows:

Please join us in celebration of Ken’s life on:
Monday 2nd February 2026 at 10:00am in the Lorimer Chapel, Warriston Crematorium, Edinburgh, EH7 4HW.
After the service, we invite you to join us at Silverknowes Golf Club, EH4 5ET, to share memories and listen to the music that he valued so deeply.
Ken’s life, at work and at home, was surrounded by colour. We ask attendees to wear some colour in his memory.
Family flowers only please.
A collection will be held in his memory to raise funds for Mesothelioma UK.

We would like to take a moment to express our gratitude and thank you for your support this year, wish you all the Merriest of Christmases and our very best wishes for 2026.

We would also like to advise you of our opening hours over the Festivities.

Our Bangor Road gallery, office and workshop will be closed from 3:00pm on Christmas Eve and we reopen on Monday 5th January 2026.

Our Nicolson Street gallery will be open as follows:

Job Vacancy - Part-time Gallery Assistant (permanent position)
We are looking for friendly and approachable part-time weekend Gallery Assistants to join our team at our city centre gallery at 1-3 Nicolson Street, Edinburgh, on Saturdays and Sundays.
Our Gallery Assistants provide face to face customer service and offer expertise on our products within our galleries, as well as assisting our customers to choose the perfect framing combination for their artwork.
Previous retail experience would be preferred, but not essential, and an interest in art would be advantageous.

Job Vacancy: Production and Distribution Assistant (Fine Art Prints)

Reports to: Office Supervisor
Team: The role is part of subteam of three in a department of seven
Location: Bangor Road, Edinburgh
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Edinburgh Arts is a small, family-owned business that publishes the biggest names in Scottish commercial art. We provide bespoke printing and framing services to clients ranging from national institutions to individual artists. We are proud of our friendly company culture, and many staff have worked here for more than twenty years. The business is going through a period of growth and reorganisation which presents exciting challenges for the years ahead.

Reporting to the office supervisor, the production and distribution assistant role involves:

- Operating our suite of fine-art printers, cutting and creasing machinery
- Providing customer service by phone and email
- Transcribing and invoicing B2B orders
- Packing and dispatching orders for shipping
- Taking inventory of print-room and office supplies
- Non-specialist production tasks such as wrapping mounted prints in acetate
- Holiday cover for the retail sales team
- Other similar work as required

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

- IT proficiency (we make heavy use of invoicing software and Adobe Creative Cloud)
- Excellent customer service
- Communication skills including fluent proficiency in English
- A methodical and detail-oriented approach

Existing knowledge of printing technology and the commercial art market is advantageous.
