We have been a little absent lately, however… BIG CHANGES ARE COMING.

We’ve wanted a new space for a while now; we’d outgrown our first home at 22, but we love our wee Bruntsfield/Tollcross family so much we didn’t want to go far.

So in an attempt to cause mass confusion we’ve moved - up the road!

While we work on the new space, our .harley.illustration has been documenting the process via the medium of comics, and we couldn’t be more happy with them.

Heres the first from the wee run he’s been working on, a document of us packing up 10 years of flamingo and the lengthy and arduous journey to our new space…

We have some exciting news! Flamingo is moving!

Little did we know when we first signed the lease on our shop at 22 Bruntsfield Place 10 years ago, that we would eventually find our own premises (no more landlords!). We moved out of our old place at the end of January and it’s been exciting but also emotional, exhausting, and full of paint fumes.

From Spring 2026 our permanent home will be at 31 Bruntsfield Place; it’s been our wee dream and a labour of love, transforming part of the old kilt shop into Flamingo HQ.

This year, instead of closing for a couple weeks for our annual stocktake, we will be reopening in our shiny new space.

In the meantime us flamingos will be hard at work putting in the finishing touches, but watch this space for more news on opening dates, and of course our shop-warming party!

Slainte! It’s nearly time for flamingo to go into our yearly hibernation and we thought we’d share some cheerful (and gorgeous) prints!

Wow, December has been quick! We’re almost away for our holidays, BUT we’re open from now to Xmas eve for last-minute shoppers and art lovers! 🎄

On top of our usual hours, WE’LL BE OPEN MON-WED FROM 10AM-1PM.

We are carrying out some top secret flamingo activities at the beginning of next year so will be closed for a little longer than usual in 2026, so watch this space for updates on some BIG CHANGES.
