These are some of Paul Kenny's visually arresting camerless images. Produced using scanners they are both remarkable and unique in style. He began shooting 5x4" plates and progressed from black and white to using a scanner to produce wonderfully abstarct pieces. Prices range from £900 to £6500.

The red leaves in these pictures is a metaphor for the blood of the men who fell. In the second piece it seems to be creeping over through land towards this small graveyard. Most of the soldiers buried here fought for the British in WW1 but there are also graves to RAF servicemen killed in WW2.

Just hanging my exhibition of work from The Somme in northern France. I shot this with a drone having run back to the car as the most dramatic clouds and rainstorm approached. I managed only a few frames before the deluge and I was soaked. Within this one image is a grave yard of some 200 men, but if you look carefully, there are four other graveyards as well as a memorial. One of these graveyards (in the distance) has over 7000 men lying in it. Thank goodness humanity has learned a lesson and the dictators and fascists are no longer in control. Except of course for countries where it is acceptable to be a self interested/billionaire/trillionaire/oligarch/drug dealing president.

The Last Poets, or some of them. Arguably the original rappers. They had some great stories one of which I’d like to pitch to Spike Lee as it sounded so audacious and so funny. (Saying no more)

Menzies Cambell. A gentleman politician and Olympic athlete in his youth. We had a chat about sports and athletics. Then I remember overhearing him chatting with Roy Hattersley from the Labour party. The topic of conversation was Gregg‘s sausage rolls both of them seemed to rather like them. #
