Iron Age Village open every day from 10am, last admission at 4pm. Explore the site including our woodland and Barefoot Trail. A guided tour of the village is also included in your admission fee and a friendly member of our tribe will tell you all about life in the Iron Age. Entry prices

This year Castell Henllys will present our most impressive fire show and Wicker Man burn to date.

Danny the Fire Performer will perform an extended show including all new props before lighting our Wicker Man.

The show will take place as evening draws in, and we are expecting it to be more atmospheric than ever.

There is the option to order food from Blasus@Henllys, and Afon Mel will be setting up a mead bar in the Village.

Want to get in the mood for music ahead of Aberteifi live? Why not come along to Folk by the Fire at Castell Henllys on Tuesday, 27 October.

We will be welcoming Irish songwriter Padraig Jack, who is gaining a reputation as a bilingual (Irish/English) singer songwriter of substance with music and songs rooted deep in Irish history, culture, language and storytelling, to Castell Henllys for a unique fireside performance.

On Saturday 24 October you can join the National Park Ranger team for an apple pressing day at Castell Henllys.

Bring your own apples and have them pressed into juice to take away (remember to bring bottles too!). Alternatively, there will be some apples from the heritage orchard at St Brides for those who don’t have their own and still want to take part.

It may still be autumn, but the winter is not far off.

Join the Villagers on Saturday 31 October to mark the changing of the seasons. Celebrate the end of the harvest and enjoy the time of plenty before the cold, hard times of winter set in.

Enjoy hands on activities and storytelling before gathering around the fire for the afternoon celebration at 3pm.

£11 Adult, £9 Child, £35.50 Family (2+2 or 1+3). All activities included in entry price.

As the year passes and the nights lengthen now is the ideal time to explore the woodlands after dark.

Discover the secrets of the night-time woods around Castell Henllys on our Biofluorescent Night Walk.

Join our rangers for an after dark walk exploring the magical world of biofluorescence in the Autumn woodland at Castell Henllys. Using UV torches we will discover the vibrant colourful display of fungi and lichens at this time of year.

Autumn is a time of plenty, and following a hot summer there is an abundance of fruit this autumn.

Make the most of the apple harvest and join in an apple pressing session at Castell Henllys. Have a go yourself, we suggest bringing your own apples or we will have some from our St Brides heritage orchard. Please bring a container to take juice home.

Following the cancellation of our Wicker Man burn in August due to the dry weather, Castell Henllys is now pleased to present our Samhain Spectacular Fire Performance.

As day turns to night on Thursday 29 October you can join us for our most impressive Fire Performance to date.

Danny the Fire Performer will present an all-new show, before igniting the Wicker Man.

Afon Mel will once again join us with their mead bar, and there will be the option to pre-order food for after the performance from Blasus@Henllys.

Castell Henllys presents Folk by the Fire with Padraig Jack. Tuesday 27 October.

Join us for an evening with Irish Folk Celtic songwriter Padraig Jack, in the unique setting of one of our Iron Age Roundhouses.

Padraig is songwriter and writes and sings meaningful songs on guitar and piano in Irish Gaelic and English. With influences from Enya, Emmylou Harris and The Eagles to Van Morrison, Sinead O’Connor and Richard Thompson, Padraig appreciates strong songwriting with a distinct point of view.
