Not long to go until our ghosts are ready to make an appearance! 🐈‍⬛

Now we have to admit, some of them are a little bit more cuddly than scary...but who wouldn't love a Wildcat like this? 👻

See if you can discover some exciting historical legends as you hunt for all of our spectral friends! This trail is free and suitable for the whole family.

Saturday 24 October to Monday 2 November.

The visitor centre is open Monday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Individual shops and businesses have varying opening times.

Blog of the week: The Forgotten Boat Yard of Elsecar

Whilst researching the history around Elsecar, Catherine Roebuck (Visitor Services Assistant) came across a reference to a boat called the ‘North Star’ built in 1855. This was a surprise that boats were built so far from the coast, she then set about trying to find the Boat Yard.

This family friendly trail will be arriving just in time for October half-term. Simply pop by the visitor centre and collect a free trail leaflet. There are 6 ghoulish friends hiding around the site, can you find them all? 🕵️‍♀️
