This residency programme is open to artists of all nationalities, disciplines and experiences.
Film & Press Coverage From here of the first residency programme. Selected Artists:
We are gearing up now for our summer
residency programmes! We’ve selected winning Artists from the annual John Richardson exhibition for participation in a two week program in France and accepted direct applications for gallery subsidised residencies.
A huge thank you to Eamon Colman Irish Artist and Elected Member of Aosdána our Residency Mentor, who contributes uniquely
and invaluably to the programme by offering each Artist one-one mentorship, guiding them in their artistic practices and professional development with great consideration and impact alongside Gallery Director & Curator Ciara Hambly who hosts the residency programme involving herself individually with each participating artist, creating enduring professional relationships.
The John Richardson French Residency is the start of a wonderful journey for all the submitting Artists which offers opportunities for creative development in France alongside other Artists with subsequent national and international exhibitions and showcase of their work in close association with a gallery who cares deeply for the progression of Irish Art on a global platform. Hambly & Hambly are forging international links and collaborations to progress Irish Art worldwide.
Each year we run an open call for submissions for our entirely gallery-funded residency. You can also apply for a gallery subsidised residency for a length of your choice individually or as part of a group maximum 10 participants with groups of 8 securing a complementary place for the organiser. We are taking bookings all year round.
