In 2019 I had the the wonderful experience to draw in the Marble Arch caves, in Co Fermamagh from 7am -11am for the TV documematry "Chronicles of Erne" BBC, thanks to Wadell Media & the staff in Marble Arch Caves, who had to get up early to faciliate the cameraman, lighting man & myself.

Today I returned to what I refer to as "Mother Earths womb" for another experiemce within the caves "sound mediation", which has rejuvenated & inspired me once again. The last two photos are my oil paintings, which I painted back in 2019 for my solo show in Fermanagh Museum, who also supported me during that year to create the exhibition. 😍

A exciting & challenging day yesterday in the RHA, with artist & tutor Ciara Roche "wet on wet" oil painting. Which is challenging for me as I love to build up layers of colour & texture, let them dry a keep building subtle layers of color; but when painting wet on wet in oils you have to make sure the colours don't get muddy. After a week of recuperating, cleaning my studio & painting throughout the year & then showing off my paintings at artsource RDS Dublin 2025, engaging with customers & art neighbours, appreciators but you all keep going; I was & still am exhausted but also jubilant. I've spent 25 yrs as a professional artist, privileged to do so with broken nails from clinging on but as I always say " if you want to live your dream get your hands in through the earth & keep digging to find your dream. ...not easy but it is worthwhile. I'm now singing in my head "Dean Martin's " memories are made of this"🤣 they're are some paintings still available. You can pm me re the ones that are still available, measurements, prices & titles. It was a great show, wonderful neighbours & customers, while I'm recovering from a years long of work & then the fair I'm tickled pink that through 25yrs as a privilege professional artist, with broken nails from continuously clinging on it is always worth it. As I always say if you want to live your dream be willing to dig your hands into the earth, believe in yourself & work hard with love in your heart & body. Challenging I know but that's life.....live it & love it😍🤩
