πŸ—“οΈ We've got some brilliant events and activities coming up from tomorrow and into next week!

On Friday 28th Aug and Tues 1st Sept:

🌎 Join 361 Energy for short workshops (free!) around climate myths - get informed about climate change, and find out how we can tackle it & adapt to help the environment and our society. This takes place in our entrance zone - free to attend, but exhibition ticket recommended to explore before/afterwards. πŸŒ³πŸŒ±πŸπŸ’š

πŸ™Œ We're also working with 361 Energy to host the People's Emergency Briefing from 3-5pm in our main exhibition space - come along for the film, refreshments, chats and hope! It's free to attend (donations gratefully received) but please book your slot as we have limited spaces.

On Saturday 29 Aug:

πŸ” drop in to meet the North Devon Astronomical Society team who are bringing in some telescopes to show you how they work, and what to look at in the night sky. Not sure how to use your telescope? Bring it along (if you can safely carry it!) and the team can offer some pro tips! This will take place in the entrance zone, although we may have some of the team running activities in the exhibition space - so it's recommended to get an exhibition ticket for the full experience.

On Tues 1st and Weds 2nd Sept:
πŸͺ One of the inspiring astrophysicists we've been working with, Dr Eric Hebrard, is volunteering with us in the exhibition! At 10:00, 10:30, 13:00 and 13:30 he will be doing "walkie talkies" - explaining about his reseach as part of a guided tour of the Astrophysics Zone. These slots are bookable via our normal exhibition booking slots - spaces are limited!

*NEW*: We've got "walkie talkies" sessions with Dr Stephen Thomson on Saturday 5th September - Stephen's research inspired our solar system zone, he and his team are working on research around storms on Jupiter!
