Cornish Art Gallery Sophi Beharrell artist in residence ,working studio & gallery showcasing work by local artists / mak

Nestled at her waterfront studio "The Watermens Gallery"on Custom House Quay in Falmouth, Cornwall. Sophi enjoys the challenge of trying to bring to life reflections and movement of water in her dramatic seascapes whether it be on wet sand or the water itself and giving the illusion of currents and ripples using different techniques she has mastered with Acrylics and the occasional watercolur and oil. Please feel free to contact Sophi if you would like to commission her to paint your favourite place at an affordable price, she loves nothing more than putting brush to canvas and endeavouring to capture what mother nature does best of all.

Very Proud of a photo that was taken recently Drapers Company one of the Great 12 Livery Companies in the City of London of a Painting I did a few years ago depicting the Reproduction of the original Drapers Barge competing in the Venice Vongalonga, that was commissioned by my wonderful Uncle- Steven Beharrell who was a Master at this incredible Company that's been in existence for over 650 yrs and do amazing work in supporting Schools , Universities, Almshouses and much much more raising so much money for many community projects in the UK and is proudly hung next to work by Peter Brown & the late Ken Howard.

It's coming along! Loving this weather, the sound of the sea, the insects & birds and the heavy scent of Honeysuckle in the air...painting this in the studio takes me back to the glorious time I had sketching on location. Where is everyone else's Happy place?

Before starting a larger painting, I like to see how it looks by sketching it out in pencil or doing a quick tonal paint study. It saves a lot of valuable time if it's not going to work. How many artists do the same?

Cracking Morning out on the cliffs today, the gorse is stunning this year & the air filled with the heavy scent of coconut other flowers I saw on my walk were Wild Carrot, Campions, Bluebells, Bladder Campion, Scabias ,good old Foxgloves amongst many & finished off with a visit to see Jack @ North Cliff Dairy where I sell my cards and had the best ice cream I've had in years Black Cherry & Crunch .

Just wanted to thank all my fabulous customers for continued support and patience....Richard is finally out of hospital after 3.5 months and I am still having to do a lot of care at home , so I'm trying to get down to Gallery as much as I can and so grateful for all the trade I have received since I started on Saturday..... I can't give you definite times of opening as I'm continually having carers making appointments through our the week that require both of us to be there... I will do my best to keep you updated xx big thanks to you all for all the support it means so much.
