A lovely lunch and catch up for the Helford Artists today at .brunch.house in Gweek. Lots of chat about the upcoming year, creative projects, courses, workshops and of course which we will all be doing and repeating our artists trail that has been so popular over the past few years. More on that to come!

We had our first catch up of 2026 of the Helford Artists at today. After a month of storms, fallen trees, and unrelenting rain it was very restorative to see the sun again and each other. Time for a little wander down through the gardens to the beach which was surprisingly warm and sheltered today. Looking forward to the year ahead for all of us.

Congratulations to for the very exciting sale today of her three stunning paintings. We’ve loved seeing them in our exhibition during the past week, but the whole lovely trio was snapped up today in one fell swoop!
This has left a big gap on the wall - filled temporarily with some prints until Kathy brings some new paintings in.

My little ‘Mini Meadow’ sold today from our .artists exhibition at It’s always bittersweet to sell original pieces, especially ones I’ve particularly loved making, which this little piece was.
However, the compensation was meeting the lovely couple who bought it, and seeing how much they connected with and loved the piece.
Oh, and it’s not leaving Cornwall, which is also sweet.

It’s lovely to meet so many doggy visitors to our exhibition at .
They’ve come in all sizes and colours, been frisky and sleepy, but all very good connoisseurs of art, with not a single criticism! 🐶

Yesterday afternoon we got our heads together for some serious planning ahead of our upcoming exhibition at in October.
We are all very excited about this particular show, as Trebah has been a big part all of our lives - such a beautiful, inspiring garden, where we’ve all sketched and painted over many years. And where we regularly meet over lunch or tea and cake!
So, watch this space for updates and information, and save the dates - 3rd October to 2nd November.

Good grief no! Plenty of time for giggles, tea - and even a drop of fizz as the shadows lengthened 😉)

There are still two days to visit the Mawnan Smith Craft Market, where all six of us are currently exhibiting.
You’ll find our original paintings and textile art, prints, cards and more.
It’s a brilliant annual market, with a huge choice of work from local makers, and a fantastic tea room, serving food all day (Friday’s lunch is fish and chips, Saturday’s is beef bourgignon 😋).
So be sure to come and browse before doors close at 5pm this Saturday 😉
