We have recently had another special visitor. Elaine Browne nee Nicholas. The Great Great Great Great Niece of our very own Jemima.

Accompanied by her husband Adam, Elaine has finally seen the town where her ancestor played a part in the Last Invasion of Great Britain and saw the Tapestry telling that story.

2 weeks ago a re-enactment of the Last Invasion took place in Fishguard & Goodwick, organised by local people and with a great display by re-enactment group HMS Wales.

We opened the tapestry gallery for a few extra hours over the weekend and were thrilled to have a visit from First Minister Eluned Morgan. Her interest and appreciation of the work that went into the tapestry was wonderful to watch.

Tomorrow is the start of the Last Invasion Re-enactment weekend.

The tapestry gallery will be open until 6pm on Saturday, instead of 4pm. And it will be open from 3pm to 6pm on Sunday.

Enjoy the re-enactment, but pop along and see the story told in the wonderful tapestry made by local people and finished in 1997, 200 years after the Invasion.
