So many thank yous because so many people were involved in this project! ❤️

Thank you to all the venues who got on board with my egg based ideas from the get go and trusted us with a little space in their window.

Thank you to all the artists who made a piece for said windows. Your thoughtful, confronting work highlighted so many important issues. I feel honoured to have been able to showcase your pieces.

Thank you to all the artists who responded to the open call and created a wonderful egg for the egg-xhibition in The Stables Gallery. I appreciate the donation of your time so much. The range of work was just fabulous to see.

Thank you to Alba (FWF Breakthrough Trainee) for all her hard work helping me pull this project together. It’s not an easy task liasing with 50+ artists and venues but she did it brilliantly.

Then thanks to every single one of you who shared our Instagram posts, stopped to read one of the trail vinyls, popped into the egg-xhibition - your support means so much and your responses to our new way of working has been really encouraging, so thank you.

After a bit of a hibernation, we’ll get cracking on our next pop up! Stay tuned!

This is an Alba appreciation post!

Anyone who has been to any of our events or exhibitions over the last six month has probably had the pleasure of meeting Alba.

She joined us in September for six months as a Creative Programme Assistant which was made possible by the brilliant Breakthrough Trainee Programme.

The idea being that this programme acts as a stepping stone for young people to get hands on workplace experience and gain employment skills. I think Alba will agree that working with us gave her plenty of hands on experience in the running of a creative arts organisation!

Painting walls, chatting with visitors, taking payments, admin tasks, marketing - basically getting stuck in with all aspects of running a small arts based business. And all this led to the eggs! As a kind of ‘final project’ Alba led on liasing with all the artists and venues involved and curated the eggs themselves to make the gorgeous display in the exhibition. We are so proud of what she achieved in these six months and it’s been a pleasure to watch her confidence grow in that time.

We were able to offer her a few extra shifts after her traineeship ended, and tomorrow is her last day. So if you’re nearby please do pop into The Stables Gallery 12-4pm today or tomorrow to see her and wish her well.

Only THREE more days left to see Sick Of It: The Egg-Xhibition.

The Stables Gallery will be open 12-4pm this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, then that’s it!

Do follow the trail from all the way down then back up Tontine Street to for the exhibition.

The work on display is so powerful and thought provoking, we’d love for as many of you to see it as possible before it comes down on Sunday.

Time for some close ups of some of the egg-xcellent artworks in display!

All eggs are kept anonymous until after purchase so we can’t reveal the artists behind these beauties just yet. However, as and when they sell we will reveal them on our stories so keep your eyes peeled for reveals!

There are loads of thoughtful, powerful pieces on display, so please do pop in to see.

Open this week on Friday, Saturday and Monday 12-4pm.

It’s a Bank Holiday this weekend and Sick Of It: The Egg-Xhibition will be OPEN!

Wander the trail anytime, but come and browse the eggs in The Stables Gallery close up between 12-4pm this Friday, Saturday and Monday.

All the one of a kind eggs are for sale too - those in The Stables Gallery are £40 and the ones in the window trail are £60. All are first come, first served so don’t wait around if one catches your eye!

Any proceeds raised go into our fundraising pot for future community events. Thank you for supporting us and the work of fabulous artists too!
