Sharing this local art-summer-school opportunity to get closer and creative with the garden! 🌿🌳🪴🎋🌾🥀 Moray Art Centre

☀️ SUMMER SCHOOL ☀️

Patterns in the Garden: Natural Forms and the Artist Book with Susie Wilson 🌱📒

👉 This 5 day summer school will look at ways to develop a series of books that focus on the gardens surrounding the Moray Art Centre!

ℹ️ We will look closely at the patterns, shapes, colours, and textures that are found in the flower beds and the edges of paths and use these as the starting point to develop content through drawing, lo-fi printmaking, collage and text.

Different book structures will be introduced and participants will explore how to combine visual imagery with structure. By the end of the week, each participant will have a produced a series of books contained in either a slipcase or wraparound box.

🤩🤌 Sharing this beautiful work from a New Artist at Logie Steading Art Gallery from 3rd – 27th April: Jill Mackenzie - Offering a 'mixture of local area paintings and botanical mono-types'. 🌿

NEW ARTIST OF THE MONTH

3 – 27 April: Jill Mackenzie in the Square Room inside the Gallery here at Logie Steading.

As a mixed media artist living near Keith, Jill has always had an interest in drawing, painting, ceramics and textiles. Utilising expanding mixed media techniques and her artistic passion for coastal and botanical images, she is inspired to create works that people will enjoy and relate to.She loves to add colour and texture to her work, yet still keep the essence of the original image.

The Exhibition runs from April 3 - 27 and will be a mixture of local area paintings and botanical mono-types.
