I'm migrating south for a few days, consequently the gallery will be closed for the next week. We will reopen on the week starting 15th June...meanwhile here are some other migratory beings.

Work in progress… revisiting a favourite view across Fleet bay from the Sandgreen end of Carrick shore. I’ve got a good feeling about this one.

I am very proud to stock Claire’s work in the gallery …. This weekend you have the chance to meet Claire Cameron-Smith Prints in her fabulous studio / display area. Riverside Mills Kirkcudbright harbour, just over the bridge.

Spring Fling opening times are 10am til 5:30pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday this week, but some studios - including me - are open on the Friday night too.

I'll be open from 6pm- 8pm - all welcome!

Has it been a year already? It's Gralloch weekend here in Gatehouse of Fleet which happens to coincide with Ochre's move here from our original base in Kirkcudbright.
Esther Tacke has designed this super poster which I will be selling during this years event.
They are available in two sizes A2 at £60 or A3 at £50.
For the uninitiated the Gralloch is a huge Gravel cycling event / race ...around 3000 participants over the weekend taking to the Galloway hills and forestry tracks ..start, finish and peripherals based at Garries Park here in GoF

Hello all, Today I am working on the refurb of my framing workshop, taking advantage of the current dry spell. Therefore the Gallery is closed again today but will re open tomorrow Thursday in time for the Mayday bank holiday weekend.

Happy March all ...spring is surely just around the corner as is "the season" where shops and gallerys such as Ochre will be opening for longer hours and more days per week....however non of us have been idle in this down time ..we have been beavering away, painting, planning, framing...buying record collections, recovering from various bugs. Life goes on and seems to happen faster than ever in 2026 ...This week I am open Monday / Thursday / Friday and Saturday and you will be very welcome.
