The paddle steamer Medway Queen is the last estuary paddle steamer in the United Kingdom. She is currently being restored in Gillingham Kent ME7 1RX.

Well we now have a new act on the Medway Queen. On the 6th June, we will be having Matt Brooks singing and playing his guitar for us. There will be ample free parking, disabled access, a well stocked open bar, but you can bring your own snacks or we do sell crisps and mini cheddars. If you have been to one of our events before, you will know that we always have a great time on this unique venue - the amazing Paddle Steamer, Medway Queen. We won't be going down the river, but a wonderful evening will be guaranteed. To book ring Pam on 07790 179760 or you can book through Eventbrite. Children under 16 are free when accompanied by an adult.

We had another brilliant quiz on Saturday, thankyou to Sue for arranging that for us. Now we have a real treat this coming Saturday (25th) we have the Barn Ettes. Three girls that sing beautifully and have a very large repertoire, some times even singing in uniform, and have even performed in Chatham Dockyard at the 40's weekend. Why not come along, follow the instructions on the poster, and ring me to book your seats. We look forward to seeing you. Book early as we can only seat 50 in the aft saloon.

Last weekend we had a quiz on board for the cats protection league and it was great fun and very successful. If you think that you can answer general knowledge questions, why don't you make up a team of 6 or less and come along and have a lot of fun next Saturday evening between 7.00 and 9.00 on board the moored Paddle Steamer Medway Queen at Gillingham Pier. There will be prizes for the top team and also b***y prizes for the bottom team. Just brinks your own food, drinks are very reasonable from the bar. To make sure of your table, ring Pam to book, number is on the poster. We always have fun, so come along and join in.

Well we had a wonderful Irish evening last Saturday (14th) so thanks to Mark and the O'Hooligan Brothers. We are now looking forward to the cats protection quiz next Saturday (28th). Why not come along and test your brain power in aid of the Cats Protection League. It starts at 6.30 on board our wonderful ship. Bring some nibbles with you, drinks are very reasonable from the well stocked bar. If you don't have a team, just come along and join one already on board. With St Patrick's Day approaching, why not come down to the Medway Queen on Saturday night and listen to some Irish music and join in with the singing (if you want to) The bar will be open and bring your own snacks. You can pay on the door or buy tickets in Eventbrite. The events season has started so keep an eye of this page and come and have some fun. The Medway Queen is moored up at Gillingham Pier, Pier Approach Road, Gillingham ME7 1RX. We would love to see you there.

The President, Vice Presidents, Chair, Vice Chair, Directors and members of the Medway Queen Preservation Society hope that you all had an amazing Christmas and would like to wish you a Happy, Healthy New Year and say that we would love to see you down at the ship at Gillingham Pier, after we reopen on the 14th February. After the reopening we will be open every Saturday right the way through until December 2026. Happy New Year.

The wonderful Medway Queen will be closing down for the winter on the 13th of December with a Carol Service, mince pies and mulled wine. Why not come along and join us at 4.00 pm.

We are delighted to tell you of our next jazz evening, which will take place on the ship on the 15th November. Those of you that have been before know what a great local band they are. We always have a great fun evening. Bring your own snacks / nibbles, drinks can be purchased from the bar. Tickets are £15 each and can be obtained from Pam on 07790 179760 or through Eventbrite. Come and enjoy the music.

As with the Waverley, we too are deeply saddened to her of the passing of dear Prunella Scales. Also along with the Waverley and the PSPS, Pru and Tim were Patrons of ours at the Medway Queen and supported us over many years. In their 80's they walked all the way from Gillingham Railway Station down to the pier just to spend the afternoon with us. They were both boat lovers and seemed to love paddle steamers especially.
Our heartfelt condolences go to their family and friends and all who knew and loved them both. RIP Pru and Tim.

On Saturday week (the 18th of October) why not come along to the Medway Queen to hear this beautiful young lady sing and play her saxophone. A wonderful evening is planned which we all enjoy on the occasions that she is there for us. Bring your own food, but the bar will be open to purchase your drink. We always have an amazing time at our music evenings., so why not come along. Just follow the instructions on the poster.

The amazing Medway Queen is starting to generate her own income with an event every other week. Last Saturday we had the wonderful local jazz band for the evening and we all had an amazing time.
Next Saturday we are having our first quiz evening. If you think that you can bring 5 other people to make up a table of 6 as a team, then contact Pam on 07790 179760 to book. It will be £5 per head, just bring your snacks, drinks can be bought at our bar on board.
