Springburn Heritage Collection are actively looking for stories, recollections, memories and more info about legendary / born jazz musician .

Frankie was a prominent and popular figure, performing at the likes of the , and many other venues around the city.

He also toured internationally, performing alongside the likes of and other popular names of the time during the 50s

Frankie, who was originally a postman from aged 15 (pictured), became an engineer at the “world famous Caley” (Caledonian Railways), and later got his licence from to perform as a professional jazz musician and recording artist, completing three notable albums.
