At the end of 2020 I entered the contest held by Claypaky and CAST Software.

Aim of the competition, use their 3D model of the beautiful Royal Albert Hall, and the lighting rig to create a show with a classical song provided or a rights-free contemporary track of your choosing.

Below is my entry, which is now in the final running along with 8 others in the professional category being presented to the judging panel of LD's on Feb 11th.

Likes added to the original post of my video on the Wackit Contest page will help as the likes are one of many things the judging panel will be looking at.

Every like helps,
Thanks in advance.

Kris.

Was great fun shooting Busted for the 2nd year in a row.

This time the band were out with their brand new sound on their Night Driver Tour 2017 and a beautiful modular lighting design from Tim Routledge Lighting Design.

The ROBE lighting Spiiders, Claypaky Shabars & the Light Initiative Custom LED Skyscrapers all looked amazing.

Was an absolute pleasure working with the wonderful folks over at MM Sound And Lighting Ltd.

I was asked to look after Control System Design and Programming for the event at the massive National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, the event of which can only be described as an Extra Special Wedding.

The venue looked stunningly beautiful.

Under my control were ROBE lighting Spiiders, Pointe's, DL4s Profiles & LEDwash 300's. (Not to mention all the additional LED lighting added to the top level to light the roof space)

My lighting console of choice was, of course, Ma-lighting's GrandMA2 platform.
For an event of this scale and importance, making sure I had a reliable console setup was a priority so I had a 2nd console running as a full tracking backup. Additionally, with a venue as large as this, wherever I stood on the middle level I could only ever see half of the lighting rig, and with time being incredibly tight (2 and a half hours from venue access until guests arrived) I didn't have the option of a console on the floor as time didn't allow me to remove it afterwards. This is another reason that GrandMA2 was the perfect partner, it allowed me to use my iPad as a remote control for programming with the perfectly designed tablet view web app, freeing me to walk around the venue and seeing exactly what I was doing.

Massive hands up to the lighting, sound and video teams at MM Sound and Lighting who pulled this off in an unbelievable fashion.

Looking forward to the next one.
