When we visited the Gemaldegalerie in Berlin, I couldn't believe my eyes when I was confronted by the Ghent Altarpiece. However it wasn't the real one but a reconstruction which did include parts of the 16th and 17th century copies. It was impressive.

I've been a bit quiet on here recently but intend to post more often from now on. The latest news is that I visited some amazing museums in Berlin and would recommend the Deutsches Historisches Museum, The Film Museum, and the Gemaldegalerie.
