🎭 The (almost) Complete History of Britain by The Pantaloons

📆 Thursday 30th July 2026

🌳 Fort Gardens, Gravesend

Mud, blood and stiff upper-lips! Join the critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company on a breathless race through the centuries in this delightfully inventive show that tells the entire story of Britain in under 2 hours.

Have you ever wanted to see the life of Henry VIII told as a romantic comedy or the tale of the Spanish Armada reimagined as a light operetta? Probably not. But that won't stop The Pantaloons retelling great moments from the country's past in a variety of surprising genres! Featuring live music, audience interaction and wild historical inaccuracy.

"Laugh-out-loud funny... endless verve and utterly infectious joy." (Northwich Guardian)

Please bring along your own chairs and picnic mats (Gazebos are not permitted). As this is an outdoor event, please be prepared for a variety of weather.

Please note children under 12 must be accompanied by an appropriate adult throughout.

🌎 Artist Commission - Gravesham: My Home

📆 Deadline: Monday 15th June 2026

Artist Commission Brief: Gravesham: My Home

We invite artists and creatives to propose their ideas and work to create new exhibition titled, Gravesham: My Home, an ambitious, immersive showcase exploring the meaning of home within our borough and its diverse communities.

The exhibition should use the entire gallery space, transforming it into a rich, layered reflection of Gravesham. We are seeking proposals that are open in interpretation and bold in ex*****on.

You are invited to use any medium, including (but not limited to) installation, sculpture, mixed media, photography, painting).

At its heart, Gravesham: My Home is about connection; how people experience, define and shape the place they live. We encourage artists to explore themes such as identity, memory, heritage, change and community.
