Hello folks,
We have Sharon Gibson on Monday evening (11th May)showing us how she approaches big flowers in watercolour.

For those wishing to paint along, and I hope you do, she has sent us this message:

The session I’m planning is focused on Flowers and will use water flow techniques with brushes and palette knives. I use Windsor and Newton tubes and we will need to make greens, pinks, purples and oranges so any favourite translucent or semi translucent colours will work. I use indigo and transparent gold or gamboge hue for foliage.
I can also demonstrate use of cling film to get texture in foliage and create simple hydrangeas.

See you there...7pm for 7.30pm.

What a cracking afternoon we had this afternoon, sketching at The Hagley Community Hall. All five of us!!! Lesley and Hazel put a stunning still life together and we had a good old chin-wag with as many cups of tea as we wanted. On the back of this outstanding success, we are going to cancel the sketching afternoon on 2nd February. If you feel cheated in any way, then come to Churchill every Tuesday, 2pm - 4pm. Bring your own project and meet some lovely people. xx

Hello folks,
Last call.
An afternoon sketching. 1.30pm for 2pm on Monday 5th. at Hagley Community Hall.
That's the day after tomorrow.

Bob Swingler is going to sit for us and there will be a still life. Or bring your own project.

This has been slipped in as an extra because we had decided that as members don't like driving in the dark we would just have 3 zooms. But an afternoon might prove popular, so we are giving it a try.

There is also a sketching afternoon on February 2nd. A volunteer to sit is required, please.
