Looking for something fascinating to do today? As part of our ongoing celebrations for Health in Harrogate 200, Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust is opening its doors for their second and final Open Day today!

It's a wonderful chance to learn more about the legacy of our local hospitals, look back at their history, and see the incredible work they do for us every day.

Pop into their newly refurbished Herriot’s learning space anytime between now and 4pm. Their dedicated teams are on hand to chat, answer questions, and show you how you can support them as a volunteer, a Trust member or by joining the NHS workforce.

☕ The hospital restaurant right next to the learning space is open all day serving hot food, snacks and drinks, making it the perfect spot to grab a coffee while you chat with the teams.

Our main exhibition at the West Park Centre may have reached its conclusion, but the Health in Harrogate 200 celebrations are still going! Tomorrow (20th May), our wonderful partners at Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust will be hosting their second and final Open Day to mark this historic milestone.

If you are interested in discovering more about our local hospitals - both past and present - this is a fantastic opportunity to take a look behind the scenes.

Head over to their newly refurbished Herriot’s learning space to speak with their incredible teams about the vital work they do. They will be sharing how you can get involved with the Trust, whether as a member, a volunteer or by exploring a rewarding career with them. The Trust team is looking forward to welcoming all members of the public who want to discover more about the services run for our community.

☕ Their restaurant adjacent to the learning space will be open all day serving hot and cold refreshments, so you can easily make a proper visit of it!

This special exhibition shares the tales of the people and spa waters that shaped our unique medical history. It is a family-friendly journey with plenty of interactive sections to keep the children engaged!

It has been a wonderful journey celebrating two centuries of our town's medical and social history. From the opening of the very first hospital to the incredible future of healthcare, this is your final opportunity to see the stories and characters that shaped Harrogate.

Whether you want to explore the interactive displays with the children or discover the secrets of our famous spa waters, make sure you pop in before we say goodbye!
