I’ve been working more on the reflection in the seventh painting in my underwater series today, as well as bringing a little more warmth into the skin tones.

I’m really happy with how this one is coming along. It feels like it’s finally starting to come to life.

Today I’ve been working on the seventh painting in my underwater series, and this one is now very nearly finished.

The studio is filling up again and starting to feel more and more like my space. 😊

Alongside my underwater series, I’ve also been continuing a smaller series of three paintings that were part of the original inspiration behind it.

They’re inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites, reinterpreted in my own way, and working on them was really what led me towards the underwater series, which then took over for a while.

They’re not quite ready to be shown in full yet, but here’s a little glimpse of what I’ve been working on today.

Two more paintings from my underwater series are back from the framers, stretched and ready to return to the easel.

It’s lovely to have them back in the studio and I’m looking forward to working on them again.

Here’s a little glimpse of the fourth painting in my underwater series, which I’ve recently been working on.

It’s very nearly complete now, with just a few final details left to finish. I’ve really enjoyed returning to this piece and seeing it gradually come together.

Oil on canvas, 84 × 76 cm.

My first day painting in my new studio after far too long.

It felt so good to finally get started again. I’ve really missed this!

I’m so happy to be continuing my underwater series here, and I’m looking forward to sharing this next chapter with you.

My new studio!

In less than two weeks I’ll be moving into this space.

It’s looking very empty at the moment, but over the coming weeks I’ll gradually be moving in my easel, paints, canvases and all the things that go into creating.

I’m looking forward to continuing my underwater series here and sharing the journey with you as the studio slowly comes together.

The first two paintings from the series are finally taking the next step as they make their way back onto their frames.

After being carefully rolled for the journey home from Costa Rica, it’s lovely to see the next stage beginning.

A huge thank you to The Whole Picture Company for taking such great care with them.

I can’t wait to see them back in the studio.

 The Underwater Series continues.

Some journeys take longer than expected.

These paintings were carefully rolled and packed in Costa Rica before making the journey to England.

Since then, life has moved in unexpected directions, and painting quietly slipped into the background for a while.

Today, I finally unrolled them.

There was a moment of hesitation before opening the package. I wasn’t quite sure what I would find.

Thankfully, the paintings have survived the journey beautifully.

Seeing them again feels less like revisiting old work and more like reconnecting with a part of myself that has been patiently waiting.

In five weeks, I’ll be moving into a new studio and continuing the Underwater Series.

It feels good to be finding my way back.
