Ever wander the moors and valleys of Yorkshire and think, "This could be a painting?" For Peter Brook, it often was. He had a habit of spotting the beauty most of us walk right past: a snowy lane, a crooked stile, the last bit of sun on a Pennine ridge. The "Art On Your Doorstep" movement speaks of making the everyday remarkable: and Peter's work couldn’t be more at home in that idea. He painted places familiar to many of us, scenes a short walk from our own door, reminding us there’s art in the landscapes we live and breathe. Somehow, seeing his Pennine scenes in person makes you pause and look again at your own patch. Maybe your stretch of road is a masterpiece in waiting. That’s the magic: art can be right on your doorstep too

Almost 60 years on and we’re quietly chuffed to be closing in our own milestone. Three generations, 4 different workshops, countless frames made, and endless stories shared.

A lot has changed but not everything... whether you’re framing a grand master or a cherished family photo, the same care and attention is taken.

To everyone who’s stepped through our doors: whether you popped in for a natter or to choose something special for the walls: thank you for letting us be part of your story.

Next year we will celebrate properly but, for now, let's keep on framing!
