Today, something changes. Not the ship. Not the stories. But how we tell them.
We are now Royal Navy Museums: Hartlepool.
Here, history is more than objects on display. It’s found in the lives of sailors, families, shipbuilders and communities shaped by Britain’s naval past. Through historic ships, personal experiences and moments of conflict and connection, these are stories that still resonate today.
At the heart of our new vision is storytelling, linking Navy and Nation with inspiring stories and experiences. At Hartlepool, we’ll continue exploring naval history through the people who lived it, the places where it happened and the objects that carry those experiences forward.
Because history does not belong to the past alone. It lives in people, places and memories that continue to shape us.
As Royal Navy Museums, we’re inviting you to get closer, discover these experiences and explore why they still matter today.
You’ll now see content and updates from across our museums and collections at Royal Navy Museums.
We’d love you to be part of it.
