JLB: The Man Who Saw the Future
BBC4 is repeating this documentary originally broadcast in 2002. Baird's son, Malcolm, presents it and Hastings Museum & Art Gallery was heavily involved in its production. It's well worth watching. BBC4 Tuesday 21:00.
Here's an interesting article by Malcolm Baird about the making of it.

It is with great sadness that we have learned that our longstanding committee member and friend Andre Palfrey-Martin died yesterday evening at the Conquest Hospital. He had been unwell for some time.
His good humour and extensive knowledge particularly of Sidney Little will be greatly missed.
Our condolences are with Sheila and his family.

Once again we have been pleased to donate a Christmas tree to our wonderful Hastings Museum & Art Gallery

Some familiar faces here.

We're ready to celebrate our 125th birthday!
There are activities for all the family to enjoy, including crafts, printing, Punch and Judy, storytelling, face painting, Victorian games, tombola and miniature railway rides. There will also be a chance to see the Classic Cycle Group and Happy Harold the trolleybus! We also have tea and cake available for a small cost.
The formal opening ceremony will be recreated at 3.30pm.
*Please note that parking will NOT be available.*
