πͺΈ We are thrilled to be working with St Leonards artist Gerald Davies.
π§ββοΈ His pieces explore British folklore, medieval imagery, coastal life and maritime traditions, drawing on influences like Heywood Summer, Hugo Winder-Lind and Quentin Blake.
β He works primarily using sgraffito, scratching through layers, inspired by the scrimshaw carvings made by sailors on long voyages, all housed in vintage frames. Find out more about Gerald at our website.
π¦ If you've been into our George Street shop, you may have seen his work, which is proving hugely popular with our visitors. During the summer, the store is open week-round, 11am-5pm.
