Next meeting - Wednesday 6th May at 7.30pm in the Studio, situated in the Haverhill Arts Centre.
Tracy Sevenoaks will be giving another presentation ‘Digging up Haverhill, again!’ which follows on from her interesting talk last year.
This time, Tracy explores St Botolph’s Church, which once stood on the corner of Crowland Road beside the recreation ground. The church dates back to the late Saxon period and was demolished in the 1500s. Although the building itself has gone, the churchyard remained and was excavated in the 1990s before the area was developed for housing. Join us as we trace the site’s history from the late Saxon era to the 16th century and uncover what archaeologists discovered during the excavation of the churchyard.
EVERYONE WELCOME £2 Members, £3 Non-Members incl. refreshments.
