📚 Old House Shop Pick of the Week: Artisan Art by Kathryn Davies 🎨

We’re delighted to highlight Artisan Art: Vernacular wall paintings in the Welsh Marches 1550–1650 by Kathryn Davies, a fascinating and beautifully illustrated book that uncovers the hidden stories painted onto historic interiors. Exploring decorative wall paintings created by skilled local craftsmen, the book reveals a vibrant world of angels, figures, symbols and patterns that once brought colour and meaning to everyday spaces.

Perfect for fans of art history, heritage buildings and traditional craftsmanship, Artisan Art offers fresh insight into creativity in the Welsh Marches during the Tudor and early Stuart period.
