Hay fever season has arrived… so here’s one of my favourite natural seasonal support rituals 🌿✨

I foraged and dried young nettle tops earlier in spring, but if you haven’t, don’t worry — you can absolutely still forage fresh nettles now. Just wear gloves, pick the young tender top growth (top 4–6 leaves), avoid roadsides, dog-walking routes or sprayed areas, and give them a good rinse.

Why nettle?
Nettle has been traditionally used for seasonal allergy support for years, as it contains naturally occurring compounds that may help support the body’s histamine response — which is why so many people love it during hay fever season 🌾🤧

It’s also naturally rich in:
✨ Iron
✨ Magnesium
✨ Calcium
✨ Potassium
✨ Silica

So it’s wonderfully mineral-rich, nourishing, and supportive overall — especially when pollen has everything feeling a bit irritated.

My recipe:
🌿 Generous handful of dried nettle (or fresh young nettle tops)
💧 1 litre hot filtered water
🍋 Juice of 1 organic lemon
🍯 1 tbsp local honey ()

Method:
Pour the hot water over the nettles and leave to steep properly. If you want it to cool faster (and make it stretch a little further), top up with cold water. Add the lemon juice and honey, allow it to cool fully, then store in the fridge.

Keeps for: 3–4 days in the fridge

How I enjoy it:
❄️ Cold straight from the fridge or over ice during the day
☕ Gently warmed in a pan (or microwave) as a soothing evening drink

Such a simple little seasonal ritual 🌿

Golden sunshine in a jar 🌼✨

This is dandelion “honey” — not made by bees, but just as magical in its own way. Sweet, floral, and full of the quiet wisdom of spring.

🌼 Recipe
Pick a handful of fresh dandelion heads (just the yellow tops, leave the greens behind — they bring bitterness). Give them a gentle shake to release any little visitors.

Add to a pan with:
– 250 ml water
– A few slices of lemon

Bring it to the boil, then let it gently simmer for 15–20 minutes. Take it off the heat, cover, and let it infuse.

You can strain it after a few hours… or leave it overnight and strain in the morning for a deeper, stronger flavour.

At this point, you can also make it your own — add fresh ginger, a little vanilla, or any flavour you love.

Strain well, pressing out all that golden goodness. Return the liquid to the pan and add:
– 250 g sugar

Gently simmer until it thickens into a syrupy, honey-like texture. It will deepen slightly in colour and become beautifully glossy. Pour into a clean jar and let it cool.

🍯 How to use
Drizzle over yoghurt, stir into tea, spoon onto warm toast… or simply take a quiet moment with it.

🌿 Why dandelion?
This humble wild flower is a quiet healer:
– Supports liver function and natural detoxification
– Aids digestion and can ease bloating
– Naturally rich in antioxidants
– Traditionally used to support skin clarity
– Gently diuretic, helping the body release excess water

A reminder that nourishment is often right beneath our feet.

What Nirvana said.
Stopping to force things.

I used to think letting go had to come with a drink in hand, loud music, and a crowded room. But somewhere along the way, I found sober dancing—ecstatic dance, flow dance, movement without performance, just pure release.

There’s something powerful about moving your body freely, especially in nature. No pressure, no pretending, no needing to be anything other than exactly what you are in that moment.

Motion shifts things. Energy moves. Emotions soften. The mind quiets. The body remembers joy.

Sometimes healing looks less like sitting still and more like dancing in the woods.

Aligning my chakras… one celery stick and ginger ale at a time 🤭🫚🫧✨

Who says healing can’t be a little unconventional?

There’s something rather special that happens when you allow yourself to truly pause… not just physically, but deep within your spirit.

This weekend at Ellasfield, The Sacred Pause opened a quiet doorway for me — one that led to softness, release, and a kind of clarity I hadn’t realised I was craving. It felt like being gently held while layers I didn’t need anymore simply fell away.

I’m leaving with a full heart, deep gratitude, and a renewed sense of connection — to myself, to others, and to something far greater.

Sometimes, stepping away is exactly what brings you home.
