We're all set up for the Christmas Makers' Fair tomorrow, Saturday 22, and Sunday 23 November! We're on the ground floor of the House - entry is £2 (under 16s free) and the fair runs from 10am to 5pm.

Explore the stalls, and shop lovely handmade items from the Solar Gallery artists, including decorations, original artwork, Christmas xards, and more!

Don't forget to visit us today for the last day of The Beauty of Small Things! We're located upstairs in Ilkley Manor House, which is open from 11am to 4pm.

Come and see us at the Christmas Makers' Fair on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November! The House will be decked beautifully for the festive season and open from 10am to 5pm - entry is just £2 (free for under 16s).

🌟 FINAL WEEKEND 🌟

It's the final weekend to see our exhibition The Beauty of Small Things! Visit us on Saturday, 15 November and Sunday, 16 November, 11am-4pm, to see and buy lovely art like the one pictured; delicate botanical ceramic pieces by Tara Joy.

Remember, we'll be selling Christmas artworks, cards, gift tags, decorations, and more at the Ilkley Manor House Christmas Makers' Fair on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November from 10am to 5pm. Entry is just £2 (under 16s free) - come and see our displays in the Heritage Room on the ground floor of the House. We can't wait!

Come and see us at the Ilkley Manor House Christmas Makers' Fair on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November!

From 10am to 5pm each day, we will be on the ground floor of the House selling Christmas gifts, cards, decorations, and more.

Entry is £2, under 16s free. There will be mince pies and mulled wine in the buttery to warm you up! See you soon.

🌟 Today's spotlighted artist is Catherine Slater 🌟

Catherine's stunning pieces feature super-fine merino with mulberry silk scarves and delicate earrings, all handmade. These colourful works are for sale - perfect gifts for friends and loved ones, or great treats for yourself!

Catherine will be selling her accessories and jewellery alongside fellow Solar Gallery artists at the Ilkley Manor House Christmas Makers' Fair on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November. Entry is £2 for adults, free for under 16s, and there will be seasonal refreshments to indulge in.

🌟 Today's spotlighted artist is Linda Dewart 🌟

Her small works feature warm-coloured oil paintings (Shimla 1, Looking Out, and Shimla 3), cool-toned acrylics on paper (Windows 1-3), and the jewelled oil painting Precious Times. See Linda's work in the Beauty of Small Things upstairs in Ilkley Manor House, on show weekends, 11am-4pm, until 16 November!

Remember we'll be at the Christmas Makers' Fair on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 November, 10am-5pm. Entry is £2, free for under 16s. There will be a wide variety of hand-made creations to buy, including Christmas decorations, cards, gift tags, unique presents, and more. We look forward to seeing you all soon.

🌟 Today's spotlighted artist is Rachael Sugden 🌟

Among the Blooms, Nature's Nourishment, Emerald Seas, and Heavy Sky make up Rachael's interpretation of our current theme "The Beauty of Small Things". Her atmospheric acrylic on canvas board pieces will make a lovely addition to any home!

🌟 The Beauty of Small Things 🌟

Appreciate the delicate beauty in small things every weekend at Ilkley Manor House until 16 November! These stunning bronze and wood pieces are by Mark Butler. You can also see his work at Mill Bridge Gallery and currently on display at Skipton Town Hall, both in Skipton.

Visit the Solar Gallery every weekend from 11am to 4pm, upstairs in Ilkley Manor House. And don't forget - we'll also be at the Christmas Makers' Fair on 22 and 23 November!

In memory of Joy Godfrey

A valued founder member of the Solar Gallery, Joy sadly died on Wednesday, 8 October 2025.

She was a well-known and admired artist, creating beautiful silk-screen prints, bronze sculpture, oils, watercolours, and more. She exhibited throughout Yorkshire and in London at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, and was a great supporter of Ilkley Manor House for many years.

Joy's funeral will be at 1:30pm on Friday, 31 October at All Saints' Parish Church, Ilkley.

This post is sombre but also hopefully acts as a celebration of Joy as a person and the wonderful art she created. She will be greatly missed.
