Barbara MacGruer, Faichem, 1899: Taken outside the almshouses at Faichem, Invergarry. These were four terraced dwellings built by the Ellice family as accommodation for estate residents who were unable to support themselves, especially in old age.

The will of Private Thomas Murray, 9th Battalion, Cameronians, who was killed in action at the Battle of the Somme in July 1916.

Private Murray, of Govan, was 24. His will is torn by shrapnel.
