Museum volunteer, Jan, was pleased to welcome Timmy Mallett yesterday. Her daughter grew up during his days on television and thought he was great. He said he could always laugh.
On looking round the museum he commented that he was proud to have been around through the "golden years of radio" at a time when reading the Radio Times was essential.

We were joined at HMS Tern yesterday by the Young Archaeologist Club during their visit to HMS Tern for some Morse code fun and a look at our replica Lancaster bomber wireless operator's station.

The museum is proud to have been asked to display the 2025 Christmas Day Men's Ba in our window. Made by Danny Bain, it has been donated and will be thrown up by Graham Brough.
The museum is housed in the former business premises of John T Miller, a stalwart family of Ba supporters.

The museum is now closed for the season. Thanks to everyone who visited us this summer. And, again, huge thanks go to all our volunteers who make everything possible. We look forward to opening next April, meeting and chatting to visitors.
