SOS TO ALL KNARESBOROUGH ARTISTS!!!

KMA Chair Kathy Allday is on the Town of Culture Group, who have just been given three days to produce a 4 inch by 6 inch postcard that summarises Knaresborough's history and culture. This may not influence the bid but will go on the DMCS Town of Culture website. Can anyone help???

Ideally we need a postcard that shows the community spirit (eg bed race), history (castle, historic buildings and features), beauty (Viaduct and gorge) and anything else that sums up Knaresborough and its community spirit in a small postcard. Yes a challenge but important for our town. If you can help please email me at [email protected] and Hannah Read at [email protected]. The more the merrier!!

Please help us to help our town!!

THE KNARESBOROUGH ELEVEN RETURNS!
Another chance to see the original play inspired by the real events of the Knaresborough Castle Riot in 1886. The Knaresborough Eleven tells the story of a community standing together in the face of injustice.

Devised through community workshops, the play draws on local research conducted by Howard Johnson, a descendent of one of the Rioters, Jackie Glew, who wrote The Extraordinary Tale of the Castle Yard Riot, and is proudly supported by the Knaresborough Museum, Rabbit Head Productions Ltd and Knaresborough Town Council.
