When you travel the scenic Kyle Line spare a thought for the workers who made it happen! The final 10 mile stretch from Stromeferry to Kyle is said to have been the most expensive piece of railway engineering at the time. The work started in started in 1893, took nearly four years and required 29 bridges and over 30 rock cuttings. Look out for this cutting near Erbusaig when you travel through.
