Off The Rails Arthouse An artist led organisation run on a voluntary basis, offering a space to explore a wide range of activities. www.offtherailsarthouse.com

The Arthouse at Ladybank Station will officially open its doors from the 1st to 3rd September with a special photographic exhibition ‘From Station House to Arthouse’ . It has been created by Cupar based artist Carolyn Scott. Much of her work is concerned with memory, change and loss. As a member of the Arthouse steering group she was struck by the traces left by previous occupants and decided to record these atmospheric remnants of domestic life before they were hidden by the new clean white public spaces. Her photographs, rich in texture and colour, are all the more evocative and poignant from being displayed in the very rooms where the images were taken. We will also launch our programme of Art, Design & craft workshops, classes and exhibitions. The Sunday 2nd September is the East Fife Open doors day and we are part of it as is Kirsty Lorenz on Platform 2.

Interpreting the Landscape: A one-day workshop with Jade Stout

We are delighted to welcome to the Arthouse Jade Stout, one of Scotland's most exciting landscape artists. In her own words: 'I'm a visual artist whose work is rooted in landscape, horizon lines and the shifting tension between calm and movement. I grew up in Orkney, where the meeting of sea and sky became an early, instinctive language for me, something I still return to in my practice today....

Whether you sketch, draw or doodle explore the fun of drawing. Part of the international 'Big Draw Festival'. The Big Draw theme this year is 'Make a Mark' a celebration of drawing as a process, not a product. So, join us and Make your Mark!
