Yesterday was our volunteers day out to the Cathedral of the Isles in Milport. Well worth the trip across to hear about the history of the building from a very knowledgeable guide.

The Largs and District Museum has now closed for the 2026 Season. We will reopen in Spring 2027 with new displays.
We will still hold our Monthly talks over the winter, look out for adverts on Social Media.
Our volunteers have welcomed over 2500 people to the Museum and Skelmorlie Aisle this year and we look forward to welcoming you all back when we reopen in Spring 2027.
Tours of Skelmorlie Aisle can be arranged over the winter by emailing [email protected]

The Largs and District Museum will close for the 2026 season on Sunday, 27th September 2026.
This year our volunteers have welcomed over 2200 visitors to the Largs and District Museum. We will continue to be open each week in September, Thursday to Sunday from 1:30pm to 4:30pm
Our displays this year include: 185th Anniversary of the Largs flower show, Fifes of Fairlie, Curling in Largs and District, Old Largs and District maps and some researched information on the Roman Fortlet at Outerwards in Largs.
Tours of the Skelmorlie Aisle are available, on request, when the Museum is open.
Free entry to the Museum and Aisle although donations are always welcome.
