Join Our Team—Volunteer at the Museum This Summer!

Are you looking for a rewarding way to spend some time this summer? We are currently preparing to reopen the museum doors on Saturday, 4th April 2026 (Easter weekend), and we’re looking for enthusiastic new volunteers to join our team.

Volunteering at the museum is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, learn about our local heritage, and help welcome visitors from near and far. Whether you have experience or are completely new to volunteering in the museum, we’d love to hear from you.

To help you get started, we’re holding an induction for new volunteers on Wednesday, 25th March, from 7 pm to 9 pm. This session aims to take you through everything you need to know about manning the museum, provide an opportunity to meet other volunteers, and be one of the first to see this year’s new exhibits.

If you would like to become a volunteer or if you have any questions, please get in touch with either me (Nicola Dunsmore, email: [email protected], mobile: 07740505741) or Anne Cowgill (email: [email protected], mobile: 07967118210) to confirm your interest or book a place at the induction.

We look forward to seeing you on the 25th of March and to another successful season together!
