Larne Museum & Arts Centre will be open tomorrow, Saturday 23rd May 2026, from 10.00am - 4.00pm.

Discover fascinating finds and real artefacts with JJ's Fossil exhibition from 10.00am to 2.00pm. This is a free, drop-in, family event.

The John Clifford Gallery will be hosting the last day of "Drawn Together", an art exhibition by Roddensvale Parents and Carers. Ballot tickets (£1 for a strip of 5) are available from Reception to win an original acrylic painting by Emma Brown with proceeds going to Roddensvale School.

Ballot tickets are also available to win a beautiful quilt made by The Sewing Room girls at Larne Museum & Arts Centre in May 2026. Ballot tickets are available from Reception and from members of The Sewing Room. Proceeds from the ballot, which will be drawn on Friday 19th June 2026, will go to the Big C Foundation NI. Founded in December 2021, the Foundation supports families who have a child living with cancer. The quilt can be viewed in the hallway of Larne Museum.

Don’t forget you can Take, Borrow or Donate a book at the on-site Little Free Library.

As part of CHOICE, we aim to improve the lives of people living with long-term mental health problems by tackling the fundamental health and social inequalities they experience. We aim to end the avoidable loneliness, discrimination, and poor health that many people with severe mental illness face.

Packed with fascinating finds and real artefacts from fossils to stone age items and more to explore, this display invites curious minds of all ages to get up close and personal with real history and uncover the secrets of Earth’s distant past.
