❤️ “A love letter to Tarc…” ❤️
This is one of those pieces of artwork that means more to me than I can really put into words.
It’s a simple drawing of Tarc and me, sitting together and hugging. But the words I wrote on it tell a much bigger story.
There was a time in my life when I found it incredibly difficult to draw Tarc.
After losing my Mum, I went through a very dark period. Nothing seemed to make me happy, and even something that had once brought me so much joy, drawing, became difficult.
For a while, I thought I had lost the thing that made me feel like myself.
What I didn’t realise at the time was that Tarc was still helping me.
Every time I picked up my pencil and drew him, I was creating little adventures, happy moments and stories about kindness, friendship and hope. Slowly, without me really noticing, those things began to find their way back into my own life.
I thought I was drawing Tarc to make myself feel better.
But perhaps Tarc was helping me become better.
And that’s why I wrote:
“I loved you from the day I met you.”
The day I ‘met’ Tarc was the day I first drew him. I had no idea then where that little robot would take me.
He has given me a reason to keep creating. He’s introduced me to incredible people, opened doors I never expected to walk through, and brought so many wonderful opportunities into my life.
And somehow, after everything, it feels like we’re only just getting started. ❤️
So this little drawing is my thank you to Tarc.
For being there when I didn’t realise I needed him.
For reminding me that there can still be happiness after the darkest chapters.
And for showing me that sometimes, the thing you create to help yourself can end up becoming something that helps you find your way again.
I loved you from the day I met you, Tarc. And I always will. ❤️🤖
