Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum Open: Tuesday - Sunday 10am - 4pm
Situated in the Royal Pump Rooms
Free admission The entire exhibition is changed every two years.

The Art Gallery, sited in the hall of the former hydrotherapy pool, shows fine and decorative art works selected from the paintings, ceramics, sculpture and glass Collections. Our Haddie's Gallery is a family Gallery that allows children to join Haddie, the circus elephant, to discover what life was like in Victorian Leamington Spa. The Local History Gallery, located on the footprint of the former Turkish Bath, presents the story of Leamington's development from a rural village into an elegant spa resort, and then into the thriving town we know today. It includes a Hammam (cooling room) preserved from the original Turkish Bath. Our Temporary Exhibitions Gallery is used to show a wide variety of exhibitions exploring the contemporary and historic visual arts and local history.

Our install team are busy refreshing the main gallery!

Every 2 years, we bring out works from the store and replace pictures that need a rest with other items from the collection.

This new display is very special, as it looks forward to 2028 when Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum celebrates its 100th anniversary!🎉

But who decides what goes on display? Many of the artworks you will see were selected by pupils from Our Lady and St Teresa’s Primary School, members of FLAG (Friends of Leamington Art Gallery) and our Visitor Experience Assistants.

The main gallery will reopen fully on Tuesday 3 November!

Want to learn a sustainable new skill over half term? ♻

Join local ceramics and clay making specialist, Rupert Brakspear for a clay tile making workshop on Saturday 24 October!

He will hold a presentation, demo and workshop focusing on finding, collecting, preparing and working with ‘wild’, i.e. naturally occurring clays that were used for construction in the past towards making functional ceramics that have local relevance today ➡➡➡

There will also be a chance to meet and chat with Rupert on Saturday 5 December when collecting your work.

£45 for the whole day

Students have a special discounted rate of £10 - valid with an up to date NUS/ Student ID.

The Sustain exhibition trailer is now live! 🎉🎊🎉

We’re facing a nature crisis, but there’s hope. This exhibition explores how people in the past lived more sustainably, using less stuff, less energy, and making space for nature.

'Sustain uses our historic collections to think about how people lived more sustainably in the past and use that as inspiration because if they could do it then, we can do it again. Being more sustainable doesn't have to be a sacrifice, it doesn't have to be something we demand of ourselves, it can be something that we allow ourselves to take pleasure in.' Learn the basics of bookmaking, and have fun experimenting with accordion, hinged and flower folds and create a hardback cover for one of your books📚

✂Bring along prints and photographs that you are happy to cut up and fold, or photocopies.

There will also be a variety of papers to work with on the day!
