- Leeds, West Yorkshire Artist Professional Support (APS) is an artist led organisation in Leeds focused on artist support, mentoring, and community led creative practice. We work across all forms of art to support people

to make work, build confidence, and stay connected through mentoring, peer programmes, exhibitions, and practical professional support. We work alongside artists navigating rising costs, limited space, and uneven access, supporting them to keep building practice on their own terms. We build spaces where artists can show up as they are, learn together, and feel held while they grow. Our work takes place across galleries, pop ups, community spaces, and peer led programmes. Everything we do is shaped by care, access, and shared experience. We are not rebuilding what was lost. We are building what artists need now.

BEARING: The Next Chapter of the Resilient Artist Cohort⁠

We’re so proud to share the next step in the Resilient Artist Cohort’s journey: BEARING, an exhibition celebrating the courage, creativity, and growth of six incredible Leeds-based artists.⁠
⁠
After the first exhibition GESTURES, these artists have continued to explore, experiment, and develop their practices, and BEARING shows just how far they’ve come. Each piece carries its own story, from intimate gestures and layered marks to bold, expressive statements, reflecting both personal journeys and collective exploration.⁠
⁠
This is a moment to celebrate process as much as outcome, and we couldn’t be prouder of the resilience, curiosity, and commitment each artist has brought to the cohort.⁠

Maps of Me Art Club (MOMA Club) starts next Saturday (14th March) with ⁠

Got a creative 10–15 year old who loves making and getting messy? This three-week art club at Mill Gallery is all about exploring who you are through bold, hands-on projects.⁠
⁠
We’ll be:⁠
✨ Making expressive papier-mâché masks⁠
🖌 Printing lino patterns inspired by home + heritage⁠
🎨 Painting self-portraits with symbols, stories… even superpowers!⁠

It’s relaxed, friendly and perfect for beginners and budding artists alike. All materials provided, just wear old clothes!⁠

An incredible effort from our Resilient Roots cohort last night as they brought Fables to life. Artworks were moved from wall to wall until each piece found its right place within the exhibition, a process that speaks to the care, collaboration, and commitment behind the show.⁠
⁠
The result reflects the past few months of exploration and shared practice, and we’re immensely proud of what the artists have achieved. We can’t wait to welcome you to experience Fables when the doors open.⁠
