🦇 Our medieval monsters have been mixed up! Explore the Visitor Centre and see if you can find all the mythical creatures hiding throughout the exhibition.

🎨 Once you’ve found them all, head to our craft table and create your very own monster mash-up! What strange and wonderful creature will you invent?

👑 Celebrating 3 years of volunteering... Meet Rob!

This October, we’re celebrating three years of Rob being part of the team at the King Richard III Visitor Centre!

Since joining us in October 2023, Rob has shared his passion for Richard III with visitors, continually expanded his historical knowledge and represented both the Centre and Leicester at public events.

📚 Always learning, Rob loves researching Richard III and his family so he can answer visitors’ questions and help bring the past to life.

🌿 But that’s not all! Rob also helps care for our courtyard garden, keeping it looking its best, and now supports new volunteer guides as they begin their own journeys.

From guiding visitors to gardening and mentoring others, Rob shows just how much our volunteers contribute to the Visitor Centre.

💜 A huge thank you to Rob for three years of dedication, enthusiasm and helping us make every visit part of history!

The story of the search for Richard III hit the big screen with the UK release of The Lost King.

Dubbed “the greatest archaeological detective story ever told”, the film brought the incredible true story of Richard III’s discovery to cinemas across the UK.

But Leicester had a rather more permanent way to meet the King… 👑

🎥 You could see him in cinemas from October 2022…
🏰 …and at the King Richard III Visitor Centre since August 1485.

Okay, technically Richard’s remains weren't discovered until 2012! 😉
