Coming back to the L❤️VE of COLOUR gallery soon - Cadmium Mix, 90x60cm, mixed media on canvas. It’s been on loan to Crafty St Martin’s for a while. I’m looking forward to it brightening up our space again! Still for sale: £450 (can be paid in interest free instalments 😉👍)

PAINTING OF THE DAY: Cadmium mix. Acrylics & collage on canvas, 90x60cm. I decided to use only yellow, red & orange plus black & white on this canvas (the dull green is a mix of yellow & grey). Result: tropical heat and fire!

Another reorganisation of my upstairs gallery wall, ready for the ‘ber’ months. Saturday sunshine & my Gallery playlist is providing cheer today!

The sky is crying, acrylics on wood. One of my old favourites even though it came out of a time of sadness. A couple of weeks ago someone pointed out that the Plough/Great Bear constellation can be seen top right! I had no idea…!

Here’s a painting I did recently, hoping to fill a space in our hall at home. It didn’t look right there, but am delighted to have sold it to my best customer at the Gallery for her bedroom! This will be her third original 🙌🥰

It’s a bit wet out there for my ‘Drinks at the Gallery’ private view at 6pm! I wonder if anyone will brave the weather!! 🤷🙏🌈 ‼️

Making the most of my glorious windows to display cards - and window lights/small pictures hanging in the other one!

These pieces are the result of one man’s one-to-one workshop last week. It was great to have an adult male willing to let go and experiment! Tom threw the paint on with a loaded brush, painted round a lid, used a straw - all the good stuff. These bits are what was left after he’d claimed his mounted ‘window light’ piece. I’ve made more window lights collages with the smaller pieces and 2 cards: nothing is ever wasted! He said it was very satisfying. Come and give it a try yourself!

I love producing these little surprises in my one-to-one workshops, showing people how to play with paint using different colours and tools, all the effects and mark-making one can do. Very happy with this one!

Really happy to be back in my Gallery last weekend after a long break - lots of interest, a workshop & some sales 👍 Although we’re only open Friday & Saturday afternoons in August the SUMMER SALE starts on Sat 1st with lots of things reduced: look for the green labels 😉🫟

Into our last few days here by the sea, so here’s an old collage I made some years ago for this holiday home, including seaweed and sand!
